Under general supervision of the department manager, nursing staff, and SMA/LMA, the Medical Assistant (MA) follows policies, procedures, professional guidelines, and provides clinical and clerical support such as assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, filing, retrieval of information, and performance of screening examinations.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing medical records.
- Providing basic health education to patients, including information on procedures and preventive care.
