For the future development of our Swiss entity in Zurich, we are seeking a
qualified and motivated
Anlagen Apparatebauer / Sheet Metal Worker
Objectives for the job:
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment
for general aviation aircraft. Work may involve any of the following: setting
up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet
metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks or forms using hammer operating
soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting,
assembling and smoothing seams and joints burred surfaces.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal
instructions
• Alter and existing part using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal
commands
• Rivet and sheet metal component removal
• Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts
• Drill various metals. Deburr holes and cut lines
• Set up for countersinking and dimpling of holes
• Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun and or squeeze tool
• Install blind rivets and fasteners
• Ensure parts meet quality specifications and requirements
• Uses mechanics hand tools and measuring devices, such as a scale or
protractor
• Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
• Graduated Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal field or something similar
• Preferably diversified aviation sheet metal experience
• Hands on experience as a Sheet Metal Worker
• Self motivated team player
• European citizen or with the permission to work in Switzerland
• Fluent in English and preferably also in German; any other language is a
plus
