Our highly trained and compassionate team delivers advanced patient care in 24-hour Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Oncology, and Internal Medicine. We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency Department team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys emergency medicine, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Schedule

  • Saturday & Sunday: 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM
  • Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with emergency patient care and treatments
  • Provide excellent client communication, education, and relationship-building
  • Perform diagnostics including:
    • Radiographs
    • Bloodwork
    • Urinalysis
    • Cytology
    • Fecal testing
  • Administer medications via IV, SQ, IM, and PO routes
  • Place intravenous catheters
  • Assist with sedated procedures, including laceration repairs
  • Support hospitalized patient care as needed
  • Dispense medications accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and restocking throughout the hospital

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary clinical experience required
  • Emergency or specialty experience preferred
  • Strong technical skills and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for emergency medicine and saving the lives of animals
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a 24-hour emergency setting

Because we are a 24-hour facility, occasional nights and holidays may be required.
