Analyst, Business Planning (Gas Operations Support Team - Bu Hasa)

JOB PURPOSE
Coordinate and monitor the Operations division’s business planning activities and track progress to provide timely and accurate information for management decision making.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Planning
•Prepare and periodically conduct review of planning process cycle for various
activities related to Operations function in liaison with all stakeholders.

•Coordinate the preparation of the site short term and log terms business
plans under the direction of the Section Leader and prepare periodic reports
in association with all sections & departments across site.
•Coordinate all ISOs, BMS activities and establish communicate with all sites
for look ahead planning of all such systems
•Support development of all level-3 and level-4 procedures in line ISO
standard guidelines and conduct periodical reviews to update the procedures in
reference to changes in the organization and policies.
•Prepare yearly quality objectives for site as ISO procedures and monitor
objective timely achievements.
•Provide support for all ISO audits, IAD and other carried out by external and
internal auditors within the Division’s, and follow up the progress of audit
recommendations.
•Monitor and track actions raised during the internal and external audits and
follow with all action owner to close it on timely manners.
•Participate in the development or enhancement of business processes within
the site in collaboration with all divisions
•Monitor the progress against planning and business services so that areas of
unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential
performance improvement opportunities are exploited upon.
•Coordinate the preparation of the budgets as per budget planning cycle under
the direction of the Section Leader for timely submissions and budget
approvals.
•Monitor actual spending against approved budget at set frequency along with
monthly variance analysis reporting underlining appropriate justification for
over and under budget spending items to identify the areas of improvement.
•Ensure AFEs and AFOUs issued by the site are with proper justification.
•Prepare monthly highlights for site activities in coordination with all
sections / departments presenting materials covering overall performance.
•Prepare weekly reports for activities in coordination with all sections /
departments .
•Coordinate with HQ for unplanned divisional activities devising various
options according to the priorities ensure on time completion.
•Coordinate implementation activities related to various systems improvements
in liaison with stakeholders.
•Coordinate the cost optimization initiatives and activities within the site.
•Review Scope of Work (SOW) for divisional Studies for management approval
along with improvement recommendation in view of business and economics
parameters.
•Coordinate, participate in Audits planning as well as Auditee for BMS,
Maintenance, performance audit.
•Coordinate with to collate relevant data, develop Performance matrix, cost
trends and analysis reports relating to performance for management meetings
and ensure timely availability of accurate information.
•Ensure that commitments and other requirements are in accordance with company
policy.
•Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of reporting
practices taking into account ‘best practice’, international standards to
improve efficiency & effectiveness and changes in business environment.
•Provide technical assistance to all sites to facilitate proactive controls.
•Coordinate with Maintenance Sections, Planning and Contract Engineers, Gas
Operations Support and other sections / departments for all purchases,
maintenance, agreements, contracts and common contracts.
•Coordinate with all Sections Heads and Area Planning Engineers for the
requirements for succeeding year in line with long term business plan.
•Prepare periodic progress reports to keep top management informed with
current status.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration or in any relevant discipline
(Engineering Degree Preferable).
•6 years of experience in business planning within a large industrial
organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
•Good knowledge of gas processing plants and related streams
•Good knowledge and exposure to budgeting, costing and financial analysis
principles, and methodologies
•Good knowledge of planning terminologies commonly used in the Oil & Gas
sector
•Well versed to relevant planning Systems and tools
•Understanding of the inter-relationship of various planning
functions/processes which support the business
•Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and
Recording.
