Maintenance Mechanic
Chagrin Falls, OH
1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM, Monday - Friday, Occasional Overtime and Weekends Required
Position Overview
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is part of the Maintenance Team and
reports to the Production Manager. This role supports the plant’s maintenance
program by performing routine preventative maintenance, partnering with
engineers on project implementation, and ensuring equipment remains in safe
and reliable operating condition. The facility produces industrial roofing
urethane, asphalt products, and adhesive tape, and the maintenance team will
join during a period of rapid growth with opportunities to collaborate across
a diverse workforce.
Primary Responsibilities

Follow all safety rules, work instructions, and high‑hazard task procedures
-
Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs
-
Complete documentation for repairs, purchases, audits, and compliance activities
-
Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and utilities maintenance
-
Conduct maintenance on production equipment involving chemicals and adhesives
-
Diagnose equipment issues and recommend corrective actions
-
Install new machinery and support commissioning processes
-
Train team members in basic maintenance practices
Minimum Requirements
-
High school diploma or GED
-
5+ years technical training and maintenance experience
-
Mechanical troubleshooting skills (pumps, mixers, general machinery)
-
Experience with PLC and HMI troubleshooting
-
Ability to operate forklifts, lifts, and hoists; ability to work at heights
Preferred Requirements
-
Ability to read P&IDs and technical drawings
-
OSHA 10‑Hour General Industry Training
-
Pipefitting experience
-
Experience working cross‑functionally with multiple departments
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $32 - $36/hr+ based on experience.
