Job details
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive SHE Consultant with specialist
experience in the quarrying and concrete production sectors, along with a
strong understanding of construction regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing consultancy where you will
play a key role in advising clients, improving safety performance, and driving
compliance across high-risk industrial environments.
What you will do
- Develop and implement site-specific Health & Safety Management Systems
- Produce written Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Provide practical SHE advice to clients within quarry and concrete production environments
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and detailed risk assessments
- Deliver toolbox talks and promote a strong culture of safety
- Support clients in achieving full legal compliance with H&S legislation
- Investigate incidents and produce comprehensive reports with clear recommendations
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent clients when required
- You will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
Who you are
- Proven experience in the quarrying and/or concrete production industry
- Additional exposure to construction environments desirable
- Strong understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation
- NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma (or working towards)
- Professional certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, CMIOSH) highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
