Are you passionate about animal care and looking for a rewarding career in veterinary medicine? Join our amazing team as our newest Kennel Assistant! We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking individual who loves caring for pets and thrives in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
As a Kennel Assistant, you’ll play an important role in providing exceptional care to our hospitalized patients and boarding pets while supporting our veterinary team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Provide daily care for hospitalized patients and boarding pets
- Feed, water, and monitor pets for comfort and well-being
- Walk dogs and assist with exercise and enrichment activities
- Bathe pets and maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Clean kennels, treatment areas, laundry, and hospital spaces
- Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or health concerns
- Safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment
What You'll Bring:
- Passion for animal care and client service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary or boarding environment
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and working around animals throughout the day
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
- Previous kennel, boarding, daycare, or veterinary experience is a plus, but not required
