The CT Technologist 2 independently performs a wide range of standard CT procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsible for conducting imaging procedures, processing diagnostic images using specialized equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care through direct interaction with patients. The role involves preparing and administering contrast material to patients through various methods such as injection and oral intake. Essential Functions

• Ensure clear communication with patients about procedures, including age-specific considerations and comfort measures.

• Verify orders and accurately identify patients before procedures.

• Conduct thorough assessments before and after imaging procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.

• Select and apply pre-established technical protocols for each examination, modifying as necessary for patient needs.

• Maintain patient safety through proper shielding, modesty, and comfort during exams.

• Manage patient flow effectively to minimize delays and enhance productivity in the imaging department.

• Accurately process paperwork, document procedures, and report any issues or mechanical malfunctions promptly.
