Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is a global leader in propulsion systems, powering the most advanced aircraft in the world, and we are shaping the future of aviation. We are looking for an A &P Engine Mechanic who is seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
TheA &P Engine Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and troubleshooting of customer aircraft engines in accordance with FAA regulations, company standards, and OEM specifications.
Essential Functions:
- Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to perform disassembly/assembly of engines, engine modules and components
- Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly, as specified by work instructions, comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives.
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble engines and engine components using OEM manuals and FAA regulations.
- Diagnose engine malfunctions and utilize approved procedures for corrective actions.
- Record and document all work performed in accordance with company policy and FAA regulations.
- Ensure parts and tooling are used in compliance with applicable standards and certifications.
- Perform engine tests and troubleshoot performance issues using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Collaborate with quality inspectors and engineers during engine work scopes and final inspections.
