Our services include infrastructure building and asset management, rail systems, signalling and communications, tunnel, and intelligent transport systems.
Job Purpose
The Planner is responsible for supporting the Rail & Transportation team by
providing scheduling and planning expertise to current and future projects.
Key Responsibilities
Development, maintenance and update of detailed project schedules in
accordance with the project scope of works and in accordance with UGL
Transport PMO requirements.
Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), activity sequencing, logic,
durations, resource loading.
Capture schedule progress with the project team, identify driving critical
paths, track performance against baseline, assess impacts of variations,
delays and changes to scope.
Development of internal and external monthly reports & dashboards to support
project governance and decision-making including s-curves & resource curves.
Maintain Primavera P6 database of tenders and projects and ensure schedule
quality, version control, and controlling approved baselines.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and delivery teams
to ensure schedules are realistic, integrated, and achievable.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree in Engineering or similar degree qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industry.
Highly skilled user of Primavera P6 and proficient user of Microsoft Project.
Demonstrated competency in managing various Planning functions including the
provision routine reports and correspondence, defining problems, collecting
data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
