Position Summary
The Production Maintenance Technician trains Team Members on assigned tasks in
accordance with Individual Support Plans (ISPs) while ensuring the safe and
efficient operation of machinery and facility equipment. This position is
responsible for equipment maintenance, production support, and providing
supervision and training to Team Members working within the production
environment.
The Production Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the achievement of individuals with disabilities.
- Report and repair equipment difficulties.
- Identify safety concerns related to assigned tasks and equipment.
- Construct and develop custom pallets and crates.
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and cleaning of machinery.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and ensure equipment operates safely.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities.
- Implement Individual Support Plans by providing supervision and training to assigned Team Members.
- Maintain all required ISP documentation and report results daily to the Plant Manager.
- Implement production plans and schedules while meeting labor, material, quality, and productivity standards.
- Assist in initial job setup and the development of production standards.
- Compare production plans to actual implementation and recommend improvements when appropriate.
- Report productivity information, behavioral changes, and other assigned data.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery (training provided in-house).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Equivalent of a High School Diploma and one year of experience in industry or Human Services.
- Knowledge of production methods, manufacturing processes, and production standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in environments with high noise levels and variable temperatures.
- Act 33, Act 34, and FBI Clearances required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.
