Multimodal Transportation Engineer
at DRMP, Inc.
As a Multimodal Transportation Engineer in DRMP’s Project Development & Planning Group, you will provide support in the development of design plans for transportation projects throughout Florida. This role provides an excellent long-term career growth opportunity that provides exposure to a variety of project types, cultivates technical expertise, and helps develop project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing engineering design tasks, such as street concept layouts, cross-sections, quantities, cost estimates, and temporary traffic control plans
- Preparing project documentation such as technical reports and memorandums, as well as project meeting minutes
- Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements
- Directing and mentoring junior staff
- Supporting business development efforts, including proposal pursuit efforts and client marketing meetings
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months is preferred
- Minimum of 5-10 years of transportation roadway design experience
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
- Familiarity with municipal design standards and CADD requirements
- Experience working with municipalities, counties, and MPOs is desired
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
