Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Primary Function :
• Support operations by leading cross-functional project teams, ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of engineering projects while maintaining compliance with Abbott standards, FDA regulations, and infant formula quality requirements.
Major Responsibilities
• Lead full project lifecycle from initiation through design, construction, and closeout • Develop & manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including architects, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and review engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permitting and environmental requirements.
• Oversee construction activities, perform site inspections, and resolve field issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and capital planning efforts.
• Manage project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and external vendors
• Participate in field execution, including site walks, inspections, and issue resolution.
• Track project progress, document updates, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Support feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimates.

• Project Leadership: Leads cross-functional teams managing multiple concurrent plant projects.

• Budget Management: Manages project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting effectively.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understands FDA, GMP, validation requirements in regulated environments.
• Communication: Communicates clearly with stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Contractor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinates contractors, vendors, resolving conflicts while maintaining project objectives.
• Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy reviewing drawings, specifications, and validation documentation.
• Time & Priority Management: Manages priorities effectively to meet deadlines and plant schedules.
• Adaptability: Adapts quickly to changing priorities in dynamic manufacturing environments.
REQUIRED :
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in engineering and project management, with a focus on capital and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for planning, reporting and collaborating.
• Strong knowledge of project management and engineering principles, construction methods, and project delivery systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), AutoCAD, and civil design software (e.g., Civil 3D).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
WORK ENVIORNMENT
• Office and onsite field-based work.
• High-paced manufacturing environment
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience with infrastructure projects or working in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• PMP certification preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of Design Control, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Familiarity with GAMP5 and FDA’s Computer Software Assurance initiatives are preferred.

The base pay for this position is
$61,300.00 – $122,700.00
