The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function manages all aspects of
management reporting encompassing budgeting and forecasting, strategic and
customer planning. This includes the management and execution of the corporate
reporting and planning requirements.
Business Finance Centre provides FP&A expertise to the organization by
compiling and analysing metrics, identifying trends and problems,
communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to
improve financial performance.
Revenue Assurance (RA) is a function within Finance responsible for
strengthening revenue controls, identifying billing opportunities, and
minimizing revenue leakage across QMR (Quarterly Mastercard Reported),
regional billing processes, and billing reviews of revenue streams across core
and services.
The role focuses on ensuring billing accuracy, driving revenue recovery, and
partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance revenue integrity and
controls.
This position will report to Director, Revenue Assurance, and is responsible for driving data analytics excellence for revenue assurance function.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead and own revenue assurance review projects to identify billing leakages
and ensure billing completeness and accuracy.
• Working with billing on understanding rules, determining if there are any
billing issues, working through the back billing, and working through system
fixes
• Perform in-depth analysis of data systems and process flows to identify and
resolve root causes of revenue leakage. Conduct rigorous data analysis from
Mastercard databases to identify, research, and resolve revenue leakage;
synthesize findings into actional insights and recommendations
• Understand and validate billing logic by recreating billing from core
systems and comparing it with actual billed amounts.
• To work with the pricing teams to see any gaps in pricing or understanding
the intent of pricing to determine if we are billing on what we intended to
bill on.
• Perform on-site or virtual QMR audits and analysis for assigned
customers/countries using standardized audit frameworks. Complete pre and post
audit documentation and issue QMR observation letter to customer.
• Develop risk-based prioritization plans for revenue stream reviews based on
materiality, business inputs, and new initiatives
• Perform financial analysis to estimate revenue impact at customer and
country levels and support recovery decisions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and GBSC teams to improve billing
accuracy, implement fixes, and execute back-billing.
• Communicate identified revenue leakage opportunities, recovery
actions/waivers to Regional Finance team and senior stakeholders.
• Act as a regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all billing related
matters and ensure alignment with corporate Revenue Assurance strategies.
• Obtain clear understanding of selected customers, customer’s incentive &
deal agreements, market regulations and structures, and key players (such as
processors, issuers, and acquirers) as part of pre-audit process. Requires
interviews and discussions with internal and external sources to gather
knowledge.
• Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as Finance,
Product, GBSC, etc., to develop analytical toolkit that drives efficiency on
issue detection for key initiatives and focuses across corporate and regions
• Contribute to the Global Revenue Assurance strategies, initiatives, and
efforts as the regional Subject Matter Expert representative
•Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as Finance,
Product, GBSC, etc., to develop analytical toolkit that drives efficiency on
issue detection for key initiatives and focuses across corporate and regions
All about you:
• CA/MBA (Finance preferred) with 8+ years of relevant experience; CPA/CFA
certification is an added advantage.
Strong proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office applications, and
data analytics.
• Demonstrated success in Revenue Assurance, with the ability to thrive in
project-based roles requiring self-initiative and self-motivation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify
and articulate complex issues effectively.
• Structured, proactive problem-solver with a strong focus on process
improvement and execution.
• High degree of ownership, business acumen, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to
build effective relationships across teams and all management levels.
• Proven ability to manage time-sensitive matters, ensuring timely follow-up
and closure.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously while working
effectively with cross-functional partners.
