Electrician

The Building Maintenance Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and components for the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for diagnosing, isolating and correcting electrical faults or issues, including repair and replacement of controls, motors, switches and devices
- Works closely with Maintenance Mechanics on machine electrical problems
- Maintains the electrical system of the plant to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting and facilities in accordance to codes and regulations
- Performs equipment tests to ensure compatibility and safety of all circuits, in-line components, switches, and controls etc.
- Gathers data to specify new electrical components
- Responsible for making emergency repairs to offset production delays
- Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
- Performs other duties as directed
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proficient in electrician codes and standards with the knowledge and ability to follow all OSHA regulations, especially Arc Flash
- Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology and/or Related Field
- 5 + years of electrical experience in an Industrial and Commercial Setting
- Certified Electrician License
