We have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Transformation & Project Manager, based in our Madrid office in the Torre de Cristal.

The Business Transformation & Project Manager is responsible for leading business transformation, operational excellence, technology-enabled process improvements, and strategic projects across Southern Europe. The role combines technical expertise and strong operational and business insight to bridge the gap between Operations, Technology, Data, and Business Partners.

This position plays a key role in the implementation of the Southern Europe Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring scalable processes, data-driven decision making, system integration, and alignment with European critical initiatives. The role is expected to contribute both from a functional and technical perspective, including data analysis, systems design, automation, and technology governance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading business transformation and process excellence initiatives across Southern Europe, identifying operational improvements, automation opportunities and scalable ways of working.
  • Coordinating strategic projects across Operations, IT, Finance, Underwriting, Claims and Data teams, ensuring clear governance, reporting and interested party alignment.
  • Developing critical metric frameworks, dashboards and management information to support data-driven decision making, operational performance and executive reporting.
  • Translating business requirements into detailed and IT-related specifications, supporting system integration, automation, testing and implementation activities.
  • Applying knowledge of data, SQL, Power BI, Excel, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform to support reporting, process improvement and digital productivity initiatives
  • Preparing executive presentations, decision papers and project updates to support governance and decision making.
  • Coordinating cross-functional initiatives, aligning collaborators, priorities, resources and delivery plans.
  • Assessing project proposals, business cases, dependencies, risks and issues, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Monitoring progress, budget, resourcing, third-party contributions and overall delivery performance.
  • Maintaining project governance, change control and lessons learned, ensuring smooth transition to business as usual and benefits tracking.
  • Working with IT partners to ensure solutions meet technical standards and are successfully implemented.

Our must-haves:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Technology or Transformation functions.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services or regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a proven capability to simplify complexity.
  • Proven experience of working in complex environments and driving business outcomes.
  • Exposure to data migration, cloud transformation and enterprise integration projects.
  • Experience leading international and cross-country initiatives.
  • Strong analytical approach,critical thinkingg and practical problem-solving skills.
  • High standards of quality, ownership and delivery excellence.
  • Customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand needs and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborative style, helping others succeed and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Effective interpersonal skills as you collaborate with local and regional partners, as well as internal colleagues, across Spain and Europe
  • Fluency in Spanish and English. Additional knowledge of Italian, or Portuguese an advantage.
  • The legal right to live and work in Spain
