Who You Are:
The Account Manager/ Senior Account Manager will play a critical role in
managing client relationships, developing and executing impactful PR
campaigns, and driving results for a diverse portfolio of clients. Working
closely with the VP, Lifestyle and cross-functional teams, this position
requires strategic thinking, creativity, and exceptional organizational skills
to ensure excellence in all aspects of client work. Public Relations
experience in the travel and hospitality sector is preferred. The ideal
candidate should also can demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the media and
KOL landscape across the APAC region, covering Hong Kong, China, Singapore and
South East Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, fostering strong relationships built on trust, expertise, and effective communication.
- Provide strategic counsel and proactive solutions to address client needs and challenges.
Campaign Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement integrated PR strategies and campaigns that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
- Craft compelling press materials, including press releases, pitches, and reports, ensuring consistency in tone and quality in line with PURPLE’s branding and style.
- Manage and coordinate media outreach, securing impactful coverage across relevant outlets.
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets across traditional and digital platforms.
- Stay informed of industry trends, media landscapes, and emerging platforms to identify opportunities for clients.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing guidance to enhance their professional growth and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including senior leadership, to ensure seamless execution of campaigns.
Event Management:
- Plan and execute events, including press launches, media familiarization trips, and influencer activations, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Coordinate all logistics, timelines, and budgets, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign performance, providing clients with actionable insights and recommendations.
- Analyze competitor activity and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge for clients.
New Business Development:
- Contribute to the agency’s growth by participating in pitches, developing proposals, and identifying opportunities to expand client accounts.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in PR, ideally within an agency environment or in-house working with travel, hotel or hospitality brands. Candidates with higher qualifications and more experience may be considered for senior roles.
- Proven track record of managing client accounts and delivering successful PR campaigns.
- Strong understanding of media relations, with established relationships across multiple sectors.
- Passionate and highly driven by lifestyle, culture, and emerging industry trends.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing junior colleagues across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
