The Opportunity
This role is based in Cali, Colombia
Responsible for systems administration, including level-2 support.
Analyzes and designs divisional systems. Installs, tests and upgrades systems. Participates in technical disaster recovery plan testing. Assists in system security planning. Provides technical problem isolation and resolution for a Network (LAN / Wireless / Physical infrastructure) and may refer to documented processes as needed. This includes isolating cable issues, performing diagnostics, and configuring network devices.
What You’ll Do

Provides level-2 support, including incident handling, problem resolution, and Break/Fix.

Provides hardware maintenance and software maintenance (operating system, system utilities, security tools, monitoring tools, tuning tools).

Provides change management support including installation qualification, operational qualification, and configuration management.

Provides development and maintenance of system documentation (technical, operations, support and user).

Provides system tuning, and capacity planning and management.

Manages problem resolution: Reviews customer needs, gathers information from relevant sources to understand problems; and identifies irregularities before major problems occur. Documents call data into a tracking system.

Responsible for creating, updating and completing documentation associated with qualification, incident handling, problem resolution and asset tracking. Clearly and concisely provides relevant information with the audience in mind.

Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of new technologies equipment and services in the data communications industry.

Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing for infrastructure and client business applications.

Installs, tests and upgrades platform, common, or shared systems including hardware, operating systems and associated infrastructure software (system utilities, security tools, monitoring tools, tuning tools, etc.) for both new and existing systems.

Participates in analysis and design of division, common, or shared systems including hardware, operating systems and infrastructure software (system utilities, security tools, monitoring tools, tuning tools, etc.) for both new and existing systems.

Tests, and implements system security for operating systems, infrastructure software and infrastructure devices.

Assists other BTS lines of business with their site operations as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
2 to 4 years of IT work experience in computer systems or support with
demonstrated working knowledge of basic hardware and software products and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
