Sub-Agent

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Site Agent and plan, direct and organize construction supervision team including Senior Foreman, Foreman, Assistant Foreman to carry out construction works according to the approved method statement and programme
• Work with the project manager to plan for subcontractors’ manpower resources and equipment
• Arrange progress meeting and manage subcontractors to ensure the completion of project according to the budget, programme and quality
• Assist to prepare short term working programme and supervise the sub-contractors to implement
• Review resources requirements in collaboration with site agent and plan ahead the work in accordance with site operation requirements
• Monitor and control the material wastage. Arrange the construction sequence properly with the effective use of equipment. Minimize the wastage and double handling
• Monitor and control use of electricity and water to minimize wastage
• Assist in providing relevant data and records with time and cost implications for claims
• Review daily reports, daywork records, double handling or abortive work records
• Enforce safety regulations and take appropriate precautionary measures
• Execute and direct subordinates to perform their duties according to the Quality Plan or departmental manual
• Work with the Compliance Department to carry out quality inspection and self-checking according to the approved Quality Plan and Safety Plan
• Take appropriate actions as a member of the site emergency management team
• Execute site set up. Apply and arrange construction equipment to site
• Inspect all materials & work in progress to ensure the compliance with contract specifications & regulations to obtain the relevant test certificates
• Perform TCP responsibilities
• Inspect and approve subcontractors’ work in progress
• Liaise with client, consultants and subcontractors to establish and maintain close partnership
