Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Colorado Springs Cardiology is a rapidly growing cardiovascular clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-focused heart care. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high- quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging that directly impacts patient outcomes.

What You 'll Do

  • Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies under physician direction.

  • Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment to produce SPECT and PET scans for physician interpretation.

  • Perform cardiac imaging procedures to detect and assess abnormalities.

  • Take patient histories, explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout each exam.

  • Calculate, measure, and document radiation dosages and radiopharmaceuticals.

  • Conduct quality control checks, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain accurate records.

  • Safely handle and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Support departmental accreditation by maintaining thorough records and assisting with compliance.

What We 're Looking For

  • Certification and current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N).

  • Experience with SPECT and PET imaging, especially in cardiac care, preferred.

  • Strong technical skills with imaging equipment and quality control procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
