Your Impact
We're looking for a talented Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our
Engineering team. In this role, you will:
- Design and develop embedded firmware solutions for next-generation security products.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams to deliver reliable, high-performance embedded systems.
- Drive innovation by optimising embedded architectures and adopting emerging technologies.
What You 'll Do
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and implement embedded systems and firmware for microprocessor and microcontroller-based applications.
- Develop and optimise real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal embedded software.
- Collaborate with hardware and QA engineers to integrate embedded solutions into product designs.
- Write, maintain, and optimise efficient, well-documented code in C and C++.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and validation activities to ensure system robustness and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and embedded development best practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and advancements in embedded systems, firmware development, and microprocessor technologies.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing embedded systems, firmware, and microprocessor/microcontroller-based solutions.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications.
- Hands-on experience using hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and JTAG debuggers.
- Experience working with ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers and processors.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols and interfaces.
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Desirable:
- Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and real-time system constraints.
- Experience with PCB design and schematic review.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.
