TxDOT's Austin District is looking for a Roadway Maintenance Tech (Trans Maintenance Tech) I, II, or III, based out of Lincoln (Giddings). This position will perform routine work related to transportation activities such as construction inspection, routine and contract maintenance inspection, bridge inspection and record keeping, roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, preventive and minor maintenance on equipment, traffic control, and assisting the public during emergency situations.
Recruitment Bonus Available!
You may qualify for a one-time recruitment bonus up to $5000 if you have a Class “A” CDL License (preferably with no transmission restrictions) at time of hire. You must maintain 12-months of continuous employment with TxDOT and meet all other conditions. Current and Previous permanent employees (does not include Summer Internships) do not qualify for the Recruitment Bonus.

This position is forONE Roadway Maintenance Tech I, II, or III. The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of position based on the applicant's work experience, education, skill level, and all other appropriate factors, and based on business needs.
Salary Plan/Grade:
