About
Glean:
Glean is the Work AI
platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the
industry’s most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work
AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI
agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors,
flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the
infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business
- without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.
At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find,
use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph
map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply
personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation
powers Glean’s agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across
teams by accessing the industry’s broadest range of data: enterprise and
world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result:
measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity
gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.
Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most
Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, Bloomberg’s AI
Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner’s Tech Innovators in
Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers
across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we’re
helping the world’s largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and
turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into
reality.
If you’re excited to shape how the
world works, you’ll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams,
Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where
people get things done. You’ll ship agentic capabilities on an open,
extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we
bring Work AI to every employee, in every
company.

a Head of Field Marketing, Japan, based out of Tokyo, who will partner
closely with our sales & marketing teams to support our regional marketing
strategy in Japan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving brand
awareness, engagement, and sales through marketing initiatives. This role
involves planning, executing, and managing regional/field marketing campaigns,
events, webinars, roundtables and other activities that align with Glean’s
overall marketing strategy. The Head of Field Marketing, Japan will work
closely with the sales team, regional managers, and the extended marketing

You will:
- Build the Japan go‑to‑market plan and quarterly marketing calendar aligned to revenue targets, ICP, and priority verticals; define clear goals for awareness, pipeline, and revenue influence.
- Own integrated demand generation: digital acquisition, ABM programs, paid and organic channels, webinars, roundtables, content syndication, and lead nurture - localised for Japan.
- Lead field and event marketing: anchor third‑party conferences (e.g., AWS Summits, Google Cloud events, Gartner), executive experiences, and Glean‑hosted programs that convert to meetings and opportunities.
- Drive partner marketing: co‑market with hyperscalers (AWS/Bedrock, Google Cloud), SIs/GSIs, and strategic resellers; develop joint value propositions, campaigns, and MDF plans.
- Localize and continuously improve glean.com/jp and priority assets (solution pages, case studies, one‑pagers, ads, landing pages, email flows)—maintaining brand voice and technical accuracy.
- Establish account‑based motions for top strategic accounts: 1:1 and 1:few programs, executive engagement, personalised content and experiences, and opportunity acceleration plays.
- Launch Japan PR/communications in partnership with Global Comms: local narratives, media relationships, and customer storytelling to build category leadership.
- Build customer marketing in Japan: reference pipeline, stories, and advocacy moments that support sales cycles and community growth.
- Stand up modern marketing operations and reporting: forecasting, lead flow and SLAs, attribution, ROI dashboards, and weekly pipeline inspection with Sales.
- Select and manage best‑in‑class agencies for localization, digital, PR, and events; hire and develop a small, high‑performing local team over time.
- Champion responsible, secure AI adoption narratives tailored to Japan’s enterprise buyers; showcase concrete value with industry‑specific examples.
- What will be your success

- Deep experience localising global narratives for Japanese buyers; you can turn complex AI/platform concepts into plain‑spoken business value for executives and technical evaluators.
- Native‑level Japanese and strong business English; confident presenter and writer in both.
- Hands-on leader with startup hustle—able to plan, execute, and iterate quickly; comfortable with ambiguity and building from 0→1.
- Data‑driven operator with strong marketing ops acumen; fluent with Salesforce, Marketo, and common ABM/digital tools (e.g., 6sense/Demandbase, LinkedIn/Google, webinar and event platforms).
