Shop Hand - Oil & Gas Equipment Teardown & Repair

Position Summary: A Service Technician I will support the service team with all pressure control equipment by performing tear down, maintenance, repairing, and rebuilding activities. Job Expectations: Maintain work area to be clean, organized, and safe following 5S standards Must attend work as established by employer without excessive absenteeism. Conduct oneself in a professional manner that represents a positive image of FHE. Adhere to all Shop safety requirements. Tear-down Equipment Wash, clean and sand blast parts before rebuilding equipment Re-Build Equipment Assist others in the shop to ensure productivity on all active jobs. Keep work environment clean and orderly, track, inspect and store tools properly. Wear proper PPE while working in the Shop. Any other duties or tasks as assigned, based on business needs and the supervisor(s) request Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Compiling, checking and recording information. Communication proficiency, organizational skills, mathematical skills, thoroughness, time management. Read, write and communicate clearly in English Good decision-making skills with ability to work under pressure. Mechanically inclined - experience with pressure control equipment preferred. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent 1 year's equipment repair experience preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment: Exposure to certain contaminants, at times. Exposure to loud noise levels, at times. This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, coordination and dexterity, sitting, walking, stooping and handling materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 without physical restrictions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision and depth perception. Employees are regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel- toed shoes/boots, gloves, hard hats, and hearing protection daily.
