2nd Shift Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the DC Manager to properly maintain all aspects of daily operations of the warehouse while monitoring productivity, cost controls and recommending improvements. Manage productivity through the staff and operational situations. Provide coaching and guidance in all areas to maintain good morale in a safe work environment. Responsible for coordinating all training including safety awareness.
How You Will Help:
- Maintain high visibility and floor supervision required to insure desired levels of production, accuracy, and compliance to established policies and procedures.
- Mentor and train staff of about 15 warehouse associates; conduct performance reviews, discipline, and training.
- Analyze daily workload in WMS.
- Prepare and review monthly production reports and any other reporting as needed
- Direction of distribution staff activities in support of receiving, inventory integrity, picking and shipping activities.
- Provide direction to Shipping Clerk’s to insure WMS assignments are appropriately distributed to insure adherence to established shipping standards.
- Insure compliance to all established goals and objectives via daily cut off times and desired turn and fulfillment rates.
- Provide on-going training for all personnel via product knowledge, error tracking and review and performance for past work periods.
- Establish and maintain a high level of communication with management at all levels, staff, and customers.
- Communicate all problems and concerns to Manager in a timely manner.
- Conduct a daily end of shift sweep review of the WMS paperwork and shipping dock to insure daily compliance of established standards at completion of the first shift.
What You Will Bring:
- A minimum of five (5) years of distribution warehouse experience
- Intermediate computer experience with particular proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs.
