Livestock Business Unit Manager

Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the livestock business unit operations.
- Lead daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient livestock production and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the livestock business in the peruvian market.
- Create and execute market-specific plans to increase sales and market share in Peru.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Work with other departments (sales, marketing, finance, operations) to meet company objectives.
- Monitor market trends and adjust business strategies accordingly.
- Track industry shifts and update plans to stay competitive and responsive.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Maintain regulatory compliance across operations, quality, and safety requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the livestock business unit team.
- Mentor and direct staff to build capabilities and achieve unit goals.
- Develop and manage budgets for the livestock business unit.
- Plan, allocate, and control financial resources to meet targets and optimize costs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the livestock sector.
- Seek partnerships, products, or channels that expand revenue and growth.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
- Build and sustain strong ties with suppliers, distributors, customers, and regulators.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Evaluate staff performance and give constructive feedback to drive improvement.
- Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Introduce proven methods and process improvements to boost productivity and quality.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Oversee customer-facing processes to deliver excellent service and resolve issues.
Qualifications
Required
-
- Degree in Veterinary Science or Business administration areas
- 5 year of experience in the Animal Health market
- 5 year of experience with strong leadership and team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of managing business operations and achieving sales targets
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop business strategies
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
- Proficiency in Spanish and English
Preferred

- Advanced degree in Veterinary Science or related field
- Experience with livestock business operations in other international markets
- Familiarity with cross-functional team collaboration
- Experience in the peruvian market
