Rotating Telehandler Operator (360°)
at UGL Regional Linx
UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
**The Role: **
We are currently seeking experienced 360-degree Rotating Telehandler Operators to join our Foundations team working on transmission tower builds. You will play a key role in the construction of transmission tower foundations, working within an established crew on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Please note – this role is a combination of telehandler operation, excavator operation, and manual labour. You will be working alongside our Stub Setting and Concreting team and will be required to actively participate in a range of manual tasks as part of the rol e.
In accordance with NSW requirements and site procedures, all operators must hold both a C6 Crane License and a Telehandler Certificate/Gold Card. These are mandatory requirements to be successful for the position.
This will be on a FIFO/DIDO basis on a 2:1 roster, based in camp at Tarcutta, NSW. All flights, accommodation and meals provided to you. Locals to our project are also encouraged to apply.
About you / Key Requirements:
- Construction Whitecard
- Telehandler License/ Gold Card – essential ** **
- C6 Crane Licence – essential ** **
- Dogging License – essential ** **
- Excavator Licence – desirable
- Proven experience driving 360 rotation telehandlers – essential ** **
- Additional high risk work licenses – highly advantageous
- Work to a high standard and be passionate about what you do
- Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical
