Registered Nurse - OT

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures.
- Perform scrub nurse and circulating nurse duties as assigned.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery and report any changes in condition.
- Conduct instrument, sponge, and needle counts according to hospital policy.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical operations.
- Handle surgical specimens according to hospital protocols.
- Respond promptly and effectively during emergencies in the operating room.
- Participate in patient safety initiatives, audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Educate patients and families regarding perioperative care when applicable.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, UAE healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid nursing license (DOH / HAAD eligibility or license preferred)
- Minimum 2–3 years ICU experience in a tertiary hospital
- Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
