Roadway Engineer

We are looking for a Roadway Design Engineer in Indianapolis, IN with the opportunity to work on signature projects and collaborate with other design staff. Key Responsibilities
- Support the completion of roadway design tasks through collaboration with project teams and mentorship from senior engineers
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure designs meet schedule and budget expectations
- Gain valuable experience with the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role through mentorship and increasing responsibility
- Prepare timely and accurate design drawings, details, presentations, and construction documents in accordance with applicable standards
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and submittal packages for review by regulatory agencies
- Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, right of way staff, utility providers, project stakeholders, and contractors under the direction of senior staff
- Support the development and tracking of project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure project objectives are met
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A minimum of 4 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design
- Experience working with INDOT is a plus
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred
- PE Certification is preferred
- Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
- Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
- A self-starter that can take initiatives with key stakeholders
