*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
Performs advanced consultative services and technical assistance work to election officials statewide related to voter registration and election administration issues and responsibilities. Work involves planning, developing, and implementing the TEAM system program and providing consultative services and technical assistance to election staff, government agencies, and election and party officials. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
*EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:*
· Acts as both administrative and technical support for election officials across the state in the areas of troubleshooting, training, and other detail-oriented projects.
· Answers calls and letters from both public and county personnel regarding correct procedures and statutory requirements on voter registration and election administration.
· Works with various computer software applications, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
· Assists in developing policy and procedure manuals and training materials and preparing justifications for the implementation of procedural or policy changes.
· Assists with preparing and reviewing literature, statutes, rules, and/or policies.
· Provides technical validation and input on TEAM system changes.
· Works with program staff in determining trends and resolving technical problems.
· Assists with the review of program area operations to identify areas in need of change and assists with the development of plans to improve or address areas of concern.
· Prepares reports, including summaries of findings, conclusions, recommended revisions, and other working papers regarding projects assigned by management.
· Responsible for training election officials across the state.
· Performs related work as assigned.
