The
Finance Business Partner (FBP) is responsible for the day-to-
day financial operations, reporting, and analysis for multiple business units
within TEGNA. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial data, managing
budgets, tracking costs, and supporting operational teams with financial
insights to drive efficiency and
profitability.
Responsibilities:
• Assist
in the preparation of budgets and periodic
forecasts
• Track and report variances against
budget, highlighting discrepancies to relevant
teams
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial
reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Track
content and sales costs, as well as other operational
expenses
• Process financial transactions related to
expenses, vendor payments, and revenue
recognition
• Support month-end and year-end close
activities, including reconciliations and accruals as
appropriate
• Ensure adherence to financial
policies, internal controls, and audit
requirements.
• Support process improvements to
enhance efficiency in financial operations
• Other
duties as necessary
Performance

month-end processes, and budgets
• Capability to
manage financial tasks for multiple business
units
Requirements:
• 3+ years
in financial operations, accounting, or business support roles, preferably in
the media or broadcasting industry
• Bachelor's
degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related
field
• Strong analytical, organizational, and
problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and
communication skills with the ability to collaborate across different
teams
• Ability to meet short/long term
deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and
financial reporting tools.
• Problem-solving mindset
for resolving financial discrepancies
