Position: CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST II** **
Nature of Role: ** MIKEL is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist II to support the AN/BYG-1 Integrated Logistics Support Team. This position is responsible for configuration management, documentation control, logistics support, and technical data management in support of U.S. Navy submarine combat systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in** working within Department of Defense (DoD) logistics and configuration management environments. The ideal candidate is capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting critical installation schedules and program deadlines.
Responsibilities:
include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing technical documentation including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Ready Reference Manuals (RRMs) and System Note Packages for accuracy and compliancy in accordance with existing checklists.
- Prepare technical documentation to be barcoded and entered into the Navy's Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS).
- Coordinate with the Media Center and Delivery Team to stage Technical Manual deliveries.
- Coordinate with the Media Center and Delivery Team to prepare transmittal paperwork for shipments.
- Coordinate with the Media Center disposal requests and ensure obsolete technical manual has been destroyed.
- Provide Technical Manual lab support by ensuring the applicable technical manuals are referenced/available to support software builds and testing.
- Generating new Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDER) against existing technical manuals, as required. Record any display identified on the system that is not captured in the IETM as a new comment.
- Support managing existing TMDERs as required, which includes ensuring TMDERs are properly incorporated into technical manuals and are accurately tracked in TMDER Database.
- Handling and storage of classified and unclassified material.
- Provide administrative support and maintenance to the AN/BYG-1 document repository, Alfresco and the Model Based Product Support (MBPS) database.
- Support and participate in ILS Team meetings as required.
- Other tasks as assigned associated with BYG-1 Technical Manual shipment/movement
- Create and maintain Configuration Status Verification (CSV) files.
- Update TOCSIN documentation using Alfresco and Microsoft Teams.
- Prepare, distribute, and upload IETM/RRM Lab Reports via email, Alfresco, and Microsoft Teams.
- Submit Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) requests.
- Draft certification sheets and supporting documentation for upcoming releases.
- Review NDX files for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform IETM label reviews for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all configuration management documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered in accordance with program schedules.
**Requirements: **
- Ability to Obtain/maintain SECRET Clearance.
- Work positively in a team environment and able to take directions from Government Client and Team Lead.

- Working knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience:
- Minium of 5 years' experience in Navy DOD Logistics
- CM PRO or other Navy CM database experience (MBPS, SMART, AIMTC, BITS)
- Experience working the Technical Manual Development efforts, preferably S1000D IETMS.
Work Location: NUWC on-site.
