How you’ll contribute to the team:
As a Journeyman Plumber , you’ll bring projects to life by:
- Preparing, fabricating, and installing plumbing and piping systems for commercial and residential projects.
- Supervising and training apprentices and other licensed plumbers, providing constructive feedback on their progress and performance.
- Designing and laying out work, developing work lists, and installing systems according to plans, specifications, and blueprints.
- Promoting safety, teamwork, and Howe’s high-quality standards on every job site.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing job site needs.
- Leadership abilities to train and guide team members while working collaboratively with other contractors.
- A professional appearance and demeanor.
- Your own hand tools and a valid driver’s license for commuting to job sites.
- Minimum of 4 years of field experience in plumbing and piping systems required.
- Possession and maintenance of a current South Dakota state and Sioux Falls city plumbing license required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
What to expect and benefits:
- Working on job sites in all weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
- Be able to work at height, including ladders or lifts, and in confined spaces.
- Must have the physical strength to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50lbs, and have the balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check are required.
- Tools Provided : Receive up to $2,500 worth of cordless power tools in your first year.
