LDAF Aviation currently has a fleet of 12 – 2003 Cessna 182T’s in various locations around Louisiana. The aircraft are primarily used for firefighting activities and may be used by all State Agencies, including the Office of the Governor. The aircraft are equipped with dual Garmin G5’s, Garmin 750 xi & 650 xi, TCAS, and various other upgrades over the years. Their airworthiness is critical to LDAF’s role in Louisiana. The incumbent will remain current on applicable aircraft manufacturers’ recommendations, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and aircraft maintenance discrepancies (squawks) relevant to departmental aircraft.
