Job Title: Virtual Construction Division Manager - Mesa, Arizona

The Virtual Construction Division Manager (VCDM) will lead our Virtual Construction team in the utilization of BIM models in both preconstruction and construction while working directly with our estimators, schedulers, superintendents, and project managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions, and directions.
  • Defines, communicates, and manages scope, design intent and design process for direct supervisor review.
  • Coordinates with internal design team on the development of drafting/ modeling and design tasks.
  • Manages multiple internal clients and projects concurrently.
  • Responds to and negotiates deadlines given by internal and external clients.
  • Uses independent judgment to apply, maintain, and enforce current Revit/AutoCAD standards.
  • Interaction with client’s VC team members with the ability to lead meetings.

  • Takes the initiative to further develop drafting, modeling, design skills and standards.

  • Organizes the BIM/Revit environment and maintains all related documents.
  • Develops and promotes practices to improve production efficiency and effectiveness of all BIM/Revit software platforms used by providing comments and updates to standards.
  • Communicate Project Workflow ideology and expectations to our team both internal and external

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Engineering, Architecture or Construction or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in BIM/Revit in the construction industry is required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in 3D/BIM modeling is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel and Bluebeam required.
  • Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD MEP and Revit/MEP required.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of all output devices including plotters, printers, copies, and file transfer preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEC and Building Codes preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Management Experience Preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a VCDM to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The VCDM is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Office-based. Generally Monday – Friday during normal business hours, but when deadlines approach they may be required to work longer hours, including some weekend work. Some travel may be required for training/continuing education.
