Position Summary:

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Ad Solutions team as a technical anchor and force multiplier. You will own the end-to-end technical health of our customer portal, driving improvements in code quality, system reliability, and developer velocity. Beyond writing high- impact code, you will influence the broader engineering culture by mentoring team members and collaborating across functions. You will work hand- in-hand with Product and Data counterparts to turn high-level business concepts into executable technical strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and evolve the full-stack customer reporting ecosystem, making high-stakes decisions on architectural patterns to ensure scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Drive the technical strategy for backend services and APIs, designing high-throughput systems (Go, Python, Java, Node.js) capable of processing massive ad-tech datasets.

• Lead the frontend architecture vision, establishing design systems and performance standards that enable the team to build responsive, complex interfaces (React/Angular) with velocity.

• Own the data modeling strategy, focusing on advanced performance tuning, query optimization, and index management to ensure sub-second reporting responses.

• Act as a force multiplier for the team by establishing engineering standards, conducting high-impact code reviews, and automating workflows to improve developer efficiency.

• Partner with Product and Design leadership to translate ambiguous business requirements into executable technical roadmaps, "de-risking" complex features early in the lifecycle.

• Mentor and elevate Senior and Mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative culture of technical excellence and shared ownership.

• Define the observability strategy (SLOs/SLAs) using tools like Datadog, ensuring the team proactively detects and resolves production bottlenecks.

• Architect data validation frameworks to guarantee data integrity, ensuring that our customer reporting is not just fast, but impeccably accurate.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies.

• Design: Arch & Design capabilities especially focused on Microservices

• Backend: Go/Java/NodeJs/Python, GCP stack (or similar)

• Front-End: React/Angular/Vue,Typescript

• Databases: Postgres/MySQL, Redis, NoSQL

• Experience with cloud based environments, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Experience in: APIs - gRPC, Rest, GraphQL

• Messaging: pub/sub and/or kafka

• Bonus: Prior experience in Ruby on Rails / Knowledge of React best practices

• Experience in: Agile & SCRUM ceremonies

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or New Relic, with a focus on tracking performance metrics, system health, and error detection.

• Soft Skills: Technical roadmap definition, Cross-team alignment, Mentoring seniors and setting technical standards. Team player, capable of sound technical design, building domain knowledge and cross team collaboration.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• AI/ML: Exposure to code completion tools (Copilot, Cursor) and experience integrating generative AI into development workflows

• Experience in mentoring or leading teams of engineers.

• Experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, CloudSQL, gGRPC, Kubernetes

• Experience in AdTech. Knowledge about Ad networks, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising, DMPs, DSPs, Audiences, etc.
