Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Electrical Designer will provide sustaining facilities electrical engineering design support for our clients’ site electrical distribution systems.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.

  • Review electrical design specifications and drawings.

  • Designing low & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. To include MCC's, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.

  • Review cost estimates and budgets.

  • Work on multiple projects.

  • Maintain current NEC codes knowledge.

  • Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.

  • Design of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.

  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.

  • Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.

  • Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).

  • Familiar with facilities document control systems.

  • Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings

  • Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models.

  • Experience with project closeout: reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals, and submittals.

  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD software to create design drawings and 3D models.

  • Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
