A SNAPSHOT OF THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Barista to

lead the day-to-day operations of our specialty café, located within our Recruitment Hub. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for third-wave coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences for candidates, clients, and team members visiting our office.

As the face of the café, you will be responsible for maintaining

exceptional coffee quality, overseeing café operations, mentoring junior baristas, and ensuring the café consistently reflects the professional and welcoming culture of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Café Operations

  • Prepare and serve premium espresso-based beverages and other café offerings to specialty coffee standards.

  • Manage daily opening and closing procedures.

  • Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-day cash reconciliation.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment at all times.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.

Team Leadership

  • Train, coach, and supervise junior baristas and café staff.

  • Monitor beverage quality and service consistency across all shifts.

  • Foster a positive, energetic, and customer-first culture within the café team.

  • Assist in scheduling and day-to-day task delegation when required.

Inventory & Administration

  • Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and product ordering.

  • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Minimize wastage through effective stock control and operational planning.

  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders and product quality.

Candidate & Client Experience

  • Welcome candidates, clients, and visitors with professionalism and warmth.

  • Help create a premium hospitality experience that complements the recruitment journey.

  • Act as the primary café contact for the recruitment team and management regarding operational needs and event support.

  • Support office functions by ensuring the café remains presentation-ready for meetings and client visits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a specialty coffee environment (third-wave café preferred).

  • Previous experience in a senior barista, shift lead, or café supervisor role.

  • Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, brewing methods, and coffee quality standards.

  • Experience with inventory management, stock ordering, and cash reconciliation.

  • Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff.
