PROJECT MANAGER

**Job Summary: **

Plans, manages, and leads the progression of key projects through the entire life cycle, ensuring timeliness, cost, revenue and quality are met. Provides expert project management knowledge and support to project teams, providing solutions to obstacles to achieve successful launch and revenue generation of products.

Essential Functions:

  • Plans and manages key projects through entire life cycle to achieve product launch and revenue generation.
  • Serves as liaison with a diverse range of departments in the product development process including Sales, R&D, Quality, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS and Legal, as well as with the Customer.
  • Works closely with the customer during the project life cycle
  • Manages project teams and projects ensuring timeliness, cost, revenue and quality objectives are met.
  • Provides leadership to project teams and expert knowledge to achieve successful progression of projects through launch and commercialization.
  • Provides timely updates to all stakeholders
  • Grows long-term relationships with customers for potential additional partnership opportunities
  • Evokes creative and innovative thinking from team members
  • Works across practices/disciplines to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Easily recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation.
  • Implements improvements to the PDR Stage Gate process
  • Complies with and enforces standard policies and procedures

Job Specifications:

  • Business, Engineering or Science degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years project management experience
  • PMP Certification desired
  • Proven track record of successful management of projects meeting budget and target date requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Exceptional ability to manage detail in the context of overall project and business strategies; ability to make sound decisions balancing competing considerations
  • Excellent Team leadership and facilitation skills
  • Works well under pressure ensuring tasks and goals are met
  • Previous experience in coatings and adhesives preferred
  • Previous experience with LEAN and SIX SIGMA preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%)
