Role: Residential Support Worker (Casual)

**Salary: £13.72 an hour **

Location: High Wycombe

Contract/Hours: Casual - Shift times are 7am to 3pm, 2pm to 10pm and 9.30pm to 7.30am (Waking Nights). Varied Hours –you choose when you work, around your study, family, retirement, or home life.

**A bit about the role **

Our Casual Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance, and advocacy. It is key that they stay safe and healthy and can reach their full potential.

About the service

Merryfields is a 14 bed Short Break Residential Service providing 24-hour care for 5 to 18 year-olds with moderate to severe learning disabilities. We strive and work towards providing top tiered person – centred care. We also hold various activities on a day-to-day basis to encourage social experiences and promote equality and diversity throughout the service.

We are looking for a Casual Residential Support Worker to join our fun and supportive team, who can bring their experience, can-do attitude, and passion with them and help maintain the high standards already set by our wonderful team!

**How you'll help to create brighter futures **

  • Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk.
  • Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
  • Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, and court work.
  • Leading shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service.
  • Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example with the application of our policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements

**Let's talk about you. **

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) THIS IS ESSENTIAL
  • Experience and training in safeguarding.
  • An innovative and creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience of developing tailored care plans
  • The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
