Overview
The Bertolon School of Business (BSB) at Salem State University is seeking to fill an open-rank, full-time, tenure-track position in marketing in the marketing and decision sciences department in fall 2027. BSB is seeking candidates with expertise in marketing and related fields to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing. Previous college level teaching experience and scholarly publications in marketing and related fields are highly valued.
Salem State University is where scholarship meets purpose. As the Commonwealth's Civic Engagement University, we believe education matters beyond the classroom, and our faculty are central to that mission. They bring intellectual curiosity and a genuine commitment to student success, teaching students who will go on to shape their communities, many of whom are the first in their families to earn a college degree. We value collaboration, academic rigor and the kind of civic-minded engagement that makes a real difference. If you're driven by meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than any single course or semester, Salem State is your place.
Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA
contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to
continuously improve the department, BSB, and university. The standard
teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester and expectations for research
are in line with AACSB accredited schools with a similar mission. Regular work
schedule includes in-person classroom instruction, office hours, and campus-
based professional responsibilities. The position is subject to available
funding.
