TPWD MISSION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the State Parks Volunteer Program Manager, the Community Services and Partnerships Specialist performs moderately complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work and is the conduit between governmental entities and agencies, civic organizations and non-profits, the military, and institutions of higher learning for the placement of individuals in alternative workforce, work-study programs, community service, or internships. Responsible for establishing program policies, procedures, training resources, and onboarding/offboarding protocol in accordance with agency policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. Creates or reviews memorandums of agreement/understanding in accordance with agency procedures. Provides program support requiring effective communication, administrative and purchasing skills, database system and webpage maintenance, hosting training via conference calls or webinars, and use of online resources to promote programs and managing multiple projects and deadlines. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.
