For the IMA ACTIVE Division, we are looking for a Customer Service - Software Technician.
IMA ACTIVE designs and manufactures machines and systems for the processing and dosing of solid oral medications.
Work location: Ozzano dell’Emilia (BO)
JOB SUMMARY
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, branches, and agents for all post-sale activities related to machinery and promote the sale of spare parts, services, and upgrades;
- Liaise directly with customers to resolve service issues and oversee the installation of systems and production lines in the pharmaceutical sector, in constant coordination with the Division’s technical and installation teams;
- Manage technical interventions at customer sites, including commissioning, routine and non-routine maintenance, and any malfunctions, with a particular focus on automation components;
- Conduct courtesy visits to customers to promote the sale of spare parts, scheduled maintenance packages, general services, and upgrades;
- Resolve troubleshooting issues directly or through coordination with the relevant internal technical departments.
MUST HAVE
- 3–5 years of prior experience in a similar role providing technical support to customers;
- Technical expertise in PLC hardware and software, machine interfaces, and SCADA systems for automated machines and plants;
- Technical education background in electronics or automation;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a technical-sales mindset, and a strong focus on teamwork;
- Willingness to travel occasionally for short periods.
NICE TO HAVE
- Proficiency in a second foreign language, both written and spoken;
- Previous experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (preferably SAP) and CRM systems.

The starting gross annual salary will be € 38.000, under the National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalmeccanica Industria, with the possibility of increase based on the candidate’s experience and skills, in accordance with objective and gender-neutral criteria.
