**Job Summary/Description: **

KTIV is seeking an MMJ/reporter to join our award-winning newsteam.

Duties/Responsibilities included (but are not limited to):

• General assignment reporting
• Developing and executing unique content daily in collaboration with newsroom management
• This person must be creative, energetic, competitive, and a problem solver with strong communication skills
• The ideal candidate produces compelling storytelling, photography, and videography that goes beyond "press release reporting."
• Can quickly confirm and bring rapidly developing stories to air and to digital platforms
• Strong on-air delivery and speaking voice

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Excellent writing skills, news judgment, and ethics
• Degree in journalism or a communications-related field
• Experience producing newscasts is preferred but not essential
• Driven to produce enterprising, organic news content
• Understand digital/new media platforms and strategy
• Smooth and effective delivery of content for live broadcasts
• Strong work ethic, organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Integrity, accountability, teamwork
