Key Responsibilities
The Beverage Captain will be successful when:
· The Department at Hudson’s private events are flawlessly executed, with high-quality libations and service throughout the event season.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
_**DAILY OPERATIONS
· Lead bar set-up to ensure it is executed in a timely manner
· Own product prep in advanced
· Review and understand BEOs
· Assisting with monthly inventory and consumption bar sheets
· Monitor staffing levels
· Lead by example for all bartenders in punctuality, appearance and work quality; including training
· Participate in pre-shift meetings alongside event managers
· Check proper amount of bar products and glassware are pulled per event
· Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests while anticipating their needs
· Demonstrate expert knowledge of specialty, classic and signature cocktails (ingredients, specs, build), wine, beer, and beverage offerings
· Maintain fluency in all menu items and ingredients with the ability to suggest beverage pairings
· Monitor proper steps of service with the team throughout each event
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and prep areas; putting away product
· Can communicate effectively with staff members and management during service
· Report incidents and areas of opportunity to management
· Additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
· Support special activations throughout other Hudson related outlets

· Monitor overpouring, waste and proper handling of bar products and glassware
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
· Must have five years of bartending experience, knowledge of techniques and equipment for serving, storing, and handling food and beverage products
· Leadership experienced recommended
· Efficient in describing and serving different types of liquor, cocktails, beer, and wine
· Preferred TIPS Certification or can pass TIPS Class to become certified
