Legal Engineer, Strategic Programs Manager
at Legora
About Us
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.
Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to$100M+ in ARR , with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview.
We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things.
-
We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
-
We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
-
Wegrow together: as a team and with our customers.
Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.
If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.
What you'll do
You will own and scale Legora's strategic Legal Engineering programs across the UK — operating at the intersection of strategy, client delivery, and operational excellence. This role is not about coordination. It is about ownership, decision-making, and driving results in complex, fast-moving environments.
You will partner closely with the Director of Strategic Programs, Legal Engineering leadership, and client stakeholders to drive end-to-end execution of high-stakes AI deployments — while continuously raising the bar for how we deliver.
Own strategic program delivery
-
Lead end-to-end execution of high-priority Legal Engineering initiatives across the UK — from ambiguous strategic goal to structured plan with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.
-
Act as the single point of accountability for program progress, risks, and outcomes. When something is off track, you are the one who fixes it.
Drive client-facing implementations
-
Partner with Legal Engineers and Engagement Managers to design and lead deployment strategies for complex client implementations — owning workplanning, sequencing, and resourcing across multiple concurrent programs.
-
Identify delivery risks early and intervene before they become blockers — you don't wait to be told something is off.
Scale delivery systems and best practices
-
Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and operating cadences that raise the execution standard across Legal Engineering — locally and across borders.
-
Act as a force multiplier: your systems make the whole team better, not just your own programs.
Lead adoption and impact tracking
-
Own adoption strategy across programs — using data to diagnose friction, define success metrics (usage, retention, workflow integration, ROI), and drive targeted interventions.
-
Partner with client stakeholders to ensure implementations translate into real behaviour change and measurable business impact — not just go-live.
Operate as a cross-functional leader
-
Serve as the connective layer across Legal Engineering, Product, and Go-To-Market — driving alignment, prioritisation, and decisions across stakeholders who don't always share the same agenda.
-
Influence senior internal and client stakeholders through clear, structured communication — without relying on formal authority.
Establish operational excellence at scale
-
Own program governance — reporting rhythms, tracking, and a high-fidelity source of truth across all active programs.
-
Build POV packs, knowledge artefacts, templates, and checklists that codify how Legora plans, executes, and learns from deployments.
Build and scale new initiatives
- Identify opportunities to launch new strategic initiatives within Legal Engineering and take them from zero to scaled rollout — with clear ownership at every stage.
What you bring
You are an experienced operator who combines structured thinking with a strong bias for execution. You are comfortable owning outcomes in ambiguous environments and influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority. You don't wait for clarity — you create it.
We're looking for
-
4–7 years in management consulting, strategy, or implementation-focused roles — ideally in professional services (Legal, Big 4, or Consulting) or a similarly high-performance environment.
-
A track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs end-to-end — not just supporting them. You owned the outcome.
-
Strong program management and execution discipline across multiple concurrent workstreams, without dropping quality or pace.
-
High analytical ability — you translate data into strategic decisions and targeted interventions, not just reports.
-
Exceptional communication skills — you write and speak with clarity and authority, and you earn credibility with senior stakeholders quickly.
-
Clear evidence of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just deliverables — you measure success by impact, not output.
-
Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and building structure where none exists.
