Accounting Clerk - Transportation Operations

We must balance our books and need your assistance. You will assist in the reconciliation of all accounting aspects for Over the Counter better known as OTC sales at our Tour Desk, Port Office, and Portage operations. You may be asked to assist in payroll data entry and processing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs a variety of moderately complex clerical and basic bookkeeping or accounting tasks.
- Routinely processes data, documents, and correspondence and verifies the information against reports.
- Processes payroll information and data.
- Researches discrepancies and reports on findings.
- Answers call from employees, management, and customers to respond to queries.
REQUIREMENTS
- One year of experience in positions involving clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting assignments.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check that could include a credit check.
- Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
- Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
