Senior Analyst, AI & Data Strategy
The Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ) team, part of the AI & Data Office, is
responsible for advancing Mastercard’s data quality program and ensuring data
is trusted, accurate, and business-ready.
As a Senior Analyst, the role drives data quality validation, price
monitoring, and insight generation using SQL, ETL tools, and cloud platforms.
It requires close collaboration with GCO Compliance, data strategy,
engineering, and business teams to ensure high-quality external data
integration and adherence to governance standards. The position plays a key
role in enabling compliance, improving reporting accuracy, and supporting
data-driven innovation.
Role
As a Senior Analyst, AI & Data Strategy you will:
- Execute data quality and pricing monitoring initiatives by partnering with
GCO Compliance, data strategy leads, business SMEs, and stakeholders to
identify gaps, validate requirements, and deliver actionable, compliance-
aligned insights.
- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL, cloud platforms, and automation
tools; continuously refine outputs to drive meaningful business decisions.
- Lead the design and development of data ingestion pipelines and ETL
workflows across cloud and on-prem systems, while supporting GCO pricing
strategy execution and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation to track data
quality, pricing metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Support strategic GCO compliance and pricing decisions by gathering
requirements, validating use cases, and assessing data readiness for
enterprise initiatives.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to execute workflows, ensure
data pipeline reliability, and monitor performance.
- Contribute to data modernization efforts by recommending enhancements to
data processes, governance frameworks, and security capabilities to enable
advanced analytics and innovation.
- Create training materials and deliver knowledge sessions to drive adoption
of tools, processes, and best practices.
All About You
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data ecosystems, and data management
principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the
ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with data ingestion, ETL processes, and workflow
automation.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures (preferably Databricks), data
marketplaces, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
- Proficiency in SQL, with working knowledge of Python, Spark, and Hadoop;
experience in data wrangling, entity matching, and ETL methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud-based data storage and processing technologies.
- Experience with data visualization tools (preferably Power BI) and
operational data management best practices.
- Ability to execute operational tasks while driving process improvements and
coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong intellectual curiosity with a structured, process-driven approach to
solving business problems.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term architectural goals
with short-term business priorities.
- Demonstrated passion for innovation, experimentation, and continuous
improvement.
- Familiarity with Mastercard products and systems is a plus.
