Obstetrician and Gynecologist Consultant (High Risk)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert care for high-risk pregnancies, including management of
maternal complications and fetal anomalies.
Perform and interpret advanced prenatal imaging and diagnostic procedures (e.g., fetal ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling).
Lead multidisciplinary case discussions involving neonatology, genetics, radiology, and other specialties.
Guide the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care of complex obstetric cases.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetrics teams.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and fellows.
Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety standards.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
Engage in academic teaching, research, and continuing professional development (CPD).
Comply with SEHA and DOH policies, guidelines, and regulations.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
Completion of specialized training in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Valid DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) license, CCT UK, American Board, German Board, and/or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 8–10 years of experience post-specialization, with significant exposure to high-risk obstetrics
Previous SEHA or GCC experience is an advantage
Key Skills and Competencies:
Expert knowledge in General Obstetrics and Gynecology cases, maternal-fetal
medicine and prenatal diagnostics
Proficiency in high-resolution obstetric ultrasound and fetal procedures
