Marketing
at Respan
What we’re building
Respan is building the self-driving
observability and evals platform for AI teams, used by 60+ YC companies and
hundreds of AI teams.
The role
You will own the marketing function at Respan end to end: brand voice and visual direction, technical content and storytelling, social and community presence, launches and conferences, and the paid plus organic acquisition mix that keeps qualified leads flowing into our funnel.
What you’ll do:
- Own brand strategy, voice, and visual direction across the website, social, and product surfaces
- Drive content production including blog posts, technical guides, customer stories, and launch videos
- Plan and execute launches across Product Hunt, Show HN, X and LinkedIn announcements, and press outreach
- Run growth marketing across paid and organic channels with clear pipeline accountability
- Show up where AI engineers are: conferences, Discord, X, LinkedIn, podcasts, and OSS communities
What you must have:
- 1+ years of marketing experience at a developer tools, AI, or B2B SaaS company
- Excellent writer who can translate technical depth into compelling, plain-language stories
- Comfortable with the AI engineering vocabulary (LLMs, agents, evals, observability)
- Willingness to work in person in Bay Area, CA
What is nice to have:
- Existing presence in the AI developer community (X, LinkedIn, Discord, blog, or podcast)
- Hands-on experience running launches at a developer tools or AI startup
- Light hands-on with HTML/CSS, no-code tools, or analytics so you can ship without engineering
- Background as an engineer, technical writer, or DevRel before moving into marketing
